Medical video equipment distributor Scientific Vision Systems has introduced Sony's LMD-1950MD LCD. Designed for the medical market, the video monitor features a 1280 x 1024 panel with more than 700 lines of video resolution, according to the Carlsbad, CA-based firm.
The display screen measures 19.1 inches, and features a new 10-bit digital signal processor, SVS said. The monitor is also completely sealed with no air vents, preventing matter from entering or exiting the unit, according to the firm.
It's suitable for applications such as endoscopy, operating rooms, C-arms, ultrasound, cardiac imaging, radiology, and other medical imaging applications, SVS said.
