Candelis will be adding to its ImageGrid line with new products, as well as upgrades to existing offerings.
ImageGrid 1500 is a DICOM server appliance with 11.25 TB of capacity and is capable of being rack-mounted on a 3U storage chassis, according to the Irvine, CA-based firm. It's also available with Candelis' Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) software integrated with Sony tape libraries. Release is expected in the fourth quarter of 2006.
Candelis will also be introducing ImageGrid Web Viewer, which enables users to share medical data and images with remote users such as referring physicians. The application includes user management and authorization levels, and can also allow ImageGrid to serve as a "lite" PACS for standalone imaging centers and clinics, Candelis said. Web Viewer is also scheduled for a fourth quarter of 2006 release.
The company has also added HL7 support and RIS integration capabilities for ImageGrid; those features will also be released in the fourth quarter of 2006.
In current product upgrades, Candelis has added its ILM software to ImageGrid 1000 and 700, encompassing the integration of Sony's LIB-81 and LIB-162 series advanced intelligent tape (AIT) libraries.
Also, the firm will be discussing version 1.2 of its Candelis software for ImageGrid. The new version includes high-end PACS features, new information and user management features, and an improved user interface, Candelis said.
