Image management firm Emageon posted record revenues for the company's third quarter, although the firm swung into the red compared to the same period last year due to a one-time charge.
For the period (end-September 30), the Birmingham, AL-based vendor posted revenues of $33 million, a 65% increase over revenues of $20 million posted for the same period in fiscal 2005. Its net loss was $300,000, compared with net income of $1.8 million in the third quarter of 2005.
Emageon attributed the net loss to a $2.1 million charge in expenses related to the integration of Camtronics Medical Systems into the company's operations. The firm reconfirmed its previously announced revenue projection for 2006, a range of $122 million to $125 million.
