Cedara will emphasize its ExamWorks Flex connectivity product.
ExamWorks Flex is a merge box that helps physicians, IT integrators, and OEM companies incorporate non-DICOM-compliant imaging devices into PACS workflow, according to Cedara of Mississauga, Ontario.
It can acquire and send entire studies from an angiography suite to a PACS network, acquire images simultaneously from a biplane suite, and provide emergency backup during PACS downtime, Cedara said. Other features include the ability to perform DICOM query/retrieve functions in an operating room on a mobile cart, review studies from ultrasound clinics via progressive DICOM send functionality, and the ability to record entire motion x-ray procedures.
ExamWorks Flex can serve as a DICOM upgrade for interventional radiology systems, facilitate remote consultation at rural hospitals, provide an archive for CT and MR studies on CD/DVD media at facilities that don't have PACS, and convert archived videotape echo studies for teaching purposes, Cedara said.
ExamWorks Flex comes with a selection of plugs and cables.
