PACSGear will unwrap its MediaSuite line in Chicago.
Designed for hospital file rooms and diagnostic imaging centers, MediaSuite allows for importing of external DICOM CDs/DVDs, film, and paper into PACS networks, according to the Pleasanton, CA-based vendor. It includes electronic forms and sends multimedia images such as JPEGs and AVIs/MPEGs to any PACS from any department, PACSGear said.
It includes a small-footprint CD/DVD burner, and supports the Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) portable data for imaging (PDI) profile, PACSGear said.
PACSGear will also release version 3.0 of its PacsScan scanning offering, which adds the ability to import AVI and MPEG files into PACS networks. It also supports JPEG 2000 compression and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP)/Active Directory, PACSGear said.
