Lead will present version 15 of its LeadTools Medical Imaging SDK.

New features include native .NET support for DICOM and DICOM communications, speed improvements that allow the kit to run at four times the speed of previous versions, 32-bit integer grayscale support (load/save/display), and barcode recognition, according to the Charlotte, NC-based firm.

With the addition of 64-bit support, LeadTools will now ship with 32- and 64-bit libraries, Lead said. The company said it has optimized most LeadTools functionality to improve performance, and the kit now also supports the National Imagery Transmission Format (NITF). In addition, a barcode library has been added to the .NET SDK, Lead said.
