McKesson Provider Technologies - Medical Imaging Group

McKesson will showcase its Horizon Medical Imaging ER Discrepancy Tracking application.

The Richmond, British Columbia-based company will demonstrate its solution to achieve the effective communication between hospital radiology and other departments that is essential for timely and appropriate patient care. Horizon Medical Imaging ER Discrepancy Tracking was developed to minimize errors, eliminate interdepartmental duplication, and increase accuracy for patient safety.

The application works with a PACS and provides predefined templates for emergency department opinions, predefined "one-click" radiology response, automatic tracking of emergency department interpretations and discrepancies, and simple confirmation of radiology discrepancy response. The product is built with intelligent workflow rules to eliminate duplicate reads, and automatically tracks users' workflow for regulatory and audit purposes, according to McKesson.
