Voyager has received a patent for its approach to "preemptive" image data prefetching, which allows for immediate access and display of full diagnostic-quality images for radiologists, even over medium- to low-bandwidth connections, according to the East Hawthorn, Australia-based firm. It can automatically download either specific worklists or specific examinations, allowing for concurrent reporting by radiologists connected to the PACS network, Voyager said.
