An add-on to Medicor's MiPACS Storage Server, MiPACS Router provides configurable and rule-based image routing to remote PACS servers or study prefetching to computer-aided detection (CAD) and image review stations, according to the Charlotte, NC-based firm. It also includes support for JPEG 2000 and MPEG2 compression.
Medicor will also introduce its MiPACS Gateway, a DICOM proxy server that acts as a single source for querying and retrieving DICOM images from multiple PACS archives. It's configurable to employ DICOM TLS (Transport Layer Secure) to communicate with remote PACS servers, the company said.
MiPACS Gateway can be used as a standalone application or an add-on to MiPACS Storage Server.
