Designed for hospital nurses and doctors visiting patients and who need access to clinical data and radiology images, Mobile Clinical Assistant is based on a Windows Tablet PC and includes an integrated bar-code imager, a 2-megapixel digital camera, and a radiofrequency identification (RFID) reader, according to the Andover, MA-based vendor. It also offers Wi-Fi access, Bluetooth capability, and four-hour battery life, Philips said. Availability is expected in March 2008.
