(Booth 3918) Bycast will focus on version 7 of its StorageGrid storage architecture in its RSNA booth.
In version 7, Bycast has added High Availability Gateway Cluster, an optional module that provides automated file system failover; this allows for continued read/write access in the event of a network or hardware failure, according to the Vancouver, British Columbia-based firm. Bycast has also boosted the scalability of StorageGrid, increasing the number of objects/files that can be managed on a given hardware configuration by 200%.
Version 7 also features new reporting functionality, including the ability to forecast storage capacity, both per site and across the entire grid, Bycast said.
