DICOM Encapsulation allows non-DICOM files, such as patient charts, reports, lab results, or insurance and billing paperwork, to be scanned and attached to studies for archiving and access, according to the Irvine, CA-based firm. Any DICOM attachment can still be opened in its native format as well, Candelis said.
Candelis will also demonstrate two Web viewing applications as works-in-progress, including ImageGrid PACS Web Viewer and ImageGrid PACS Mammography Viewer.
