(Booth 2738) EMC will debut a range of new storage offerings and services in its RSNA booth in Chicago.

Symmetrix DMX is a series of high-end networked storage systems, featuring built-in information-centric security, according to the Hopkinton, MA-based firm. It also offers customers "in-the-box" tiered storage, EMC said.

The vendor will also showcase its Clariion CX3-10 networked storage system, which is designed to provide an affordable entry point for community hospitals and departmental use. It can also consolidate multiple applications with one flexible array using the combined FC/iSCSI option, EMC said.

Celerra NS20 is a new networked-attached storage (NAS) system for EMC, adding a lower-cost IP storage platform. Offering Microsoft compatibility, NS20 allows users to access, manage, and optimize a healthcare IP storage infrastructure from a single console, according to the vendor.

EMC will also demonstrate its Centera content-addressed storage (CAS) system, as well as Disk Library. An open-systems virtual tape library, Disk Library supports more than 3 million backup configurations, EMC said.

In addition, company executives will discuss EMC's Secure Web Access for Physician and Patient Portals service. Based on security software products from EMC division RSA, the service provides a secure framework for Web access of protected health information (PHI) and secures the exchange of sensitive enterprise data via Web applications across heterogeneous environments and domains, EMC said.
