(Booth 8954) 3DR provides advanced image processing and 3D reconstruction services on a teleradiology basis, and at the 2007 RSNA show the company will highlight two new products designed to support imaging centers and hospital-based radiology departments.
Based in Louisville, KY, 3DR specializes in 3D reconstructions of volumetric multislice CT and MRI data. The service is geared toward increasing scanner throughput and reducing technologist computing time, as well as enabling use of technologic improvements.
This year, the company will showcase 3DRThin, a postprocessing service that uses thin-client hardware and software in a bundled outsourced approach. Key features include scalability, thin architecture, and service-level choices that address budget concerns.
Clinical applications include 3D CT, including CT angiography over the thin-client backbone, abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) in pre- and poststent graft evaluation studies, and image-fused images such as PET/CT. This service is currently available in the U.S. and beyond, depending on bandwidth availability.
Additionally, the company will showcase 3DR Academy, a volumetric imaging curriculum that is available online and in a classroom setting in a Louisville community college. The program is geared for radiologic technologists who perform postprocessing activities, as well as residents and fellows who are learning CT and postprocessing techniques. This educational opportunity will be available in January 2008.
