(Booth 8962) Emergency Cardiac Imaging (ECI) was founded to evaluate coronary studies from 64-slice CT scanners, and the Somers Point, NJ, company will showcase its clinical expertise in postprocessing and interpretation of coronary CT angiography (CTA) and triple rule-out exams at the RSNA show this year.
Triple-rule out CT is an imaging protocol that uses triphase multidetector CT scans to generate even contrast enhancement in the coronary arteries, pulmonary arteries, and aortic arch in a single pass. Basically an ECG-gated thoracic exam, it is designed to rule out three major conditions: coronary artery disease, pulmonary embolism, and aortic dissection in the emergency room.
ECI has interpreted more than 9,000 coronary CTA exams to date, and assists hospitals and outpatient centers that use 64-slice scanners with interpretation of their cardiac scans. The company's primary clinical expertise involves chest pain triage, coronary CTAs, and triple rule-outs. ECI offer full-time coverage 24/7/365.
ECI also offers education and consultation services in addition to the company's image analysis activities.
