Launched in October 2007, Emory Day Teleradiology provides final readings within 24 hours for U.S. hospitals and imaging centers, with subspecialty-trained radiologists providing interpretations. Emory Night Teleradiology offers diagnostic radiology services from 10:00 p.m. until 7 a.m., including weekends and holidays.
Using a secure virtual private network (VPN), an Emory radiologist interprets nighttime scans and provides a written report within 30 minutes. If the exam requires immediate medical attention, the firm's radiologists call the referring physician within 15 minutes to discuss findings. Daytime services include physician conferencing, urgent readings, and call reports available upon request.
The radiologists are fully accredited, the practice is HIPAA- and DICOM-compliant, and a 24-hour help desk is available.
