Double Black Imaging

(Booth 4676) Double Black Imaging of Westminster, CO, will launch two new products, the DBI P Series LCD and the DBI OR LCD.

The DBI P Series LCD features higher brightness levels on each LCD, digital uniformity control, 12-bit processing, a retractable front sensor for DICOM calibration, and a backlight sensor for luminance control and bonded protective panels, all bundled with a high-speed graphic controller (PCI-X or PCI-e), as well as the company's X-Cal calibration software.

The new DBI line includes a 2-megapixel monochrome and high-bright color display, a 3-megapixel monochrome and high-bright color monitor, and a 5-megapixel monochrome LCD for mammography. Double Black is targeting PACS and diagnostic stations for this line, which is due for worldwide release in November.

Double Black's new DBI OR LCD surgical line includes LCDs safe for use in the vicinity of patients, large-format color medical LCDs, and self-calibrating LCDs for OR cart mounting. The patient-vicinity-safe models are available in 19-, 21-, and 24-inch formats with full high-definition resolution.

Designed for operating room use, these LCDs are completely sealed and are cooled without fans or vents, eliminating the risk of cross-contamination by particles blowing into the sterile field. The OR LCDs are available this month worldwide.

Double Black also will promote its large-format medical-grade displays with 42- and 47-inch screens.
