Dear PACS Insider,
While PACS has come a long way from its early days, there are some who feel much can still be done to improve the PACS experience.
PACS consultant Michael J. Cannavo is one of those believers, and his thoughts on the matter have led him to develop a new article series, Building a Better PACS. Following up on his popular Exploring PACS Secrets series, Building a Better PACS will include Cannavo's opinions on what steps the PACS industry should take to provide a better PACS for customers.
In the first installment, Cannavo touches on a range of topics, including his belief in the mandatory adoption and utilization of industry standards, the elimination of "optional" elements in the standards, oversight of standards compliance, and standardized language to describe system components and operation.
Cannavo's article is this month's Insider Exclusive, which you have access to before it is published for the rest of our AuntMinnie.com members. To learn more about how PACS can be improved, click here.
