Storage management firm QStar Technologies of Mary Esther, FL, has introduced two new encrypted CD/DVD publishing and vendor-independent PACS archive tools.
DICOM Publisher uses AES encryption to protect the security of image studies written to CDs, DVDs, or Blu-ray media for distribution to patients or within a medical facility. Access to encrypted images can be gained using a unique media password or through a trusted third party via a public key/private key format.
SntryDICOM is a PACS vendor-independent and storage technology-neutral image archive tool with a DICOM 3.0 interface based on QStar's enterprise archive platform and can manage images across multiple storage tiers.
