ProStor, Imation renew licensing deal

Removable disk storage firms ProStor Systems of Boulder, CO, and Imation of Oakdale, MN, have extended their licensing agreement for ProStor's RDX removable hard disk storage systems.

Under the terms of the 10-year agreement, Imation will manufacture, market, and sell RDX systems through 2020. Imation also has invested $5 million to help advance ProStor's technology.

RDX features a high-capacity, removable 2.5-inch hard disk drive cartridge and a docking station with USB and SATA connections. RDX removable hard disk drive cartridges are designed for data protection with backup, data security, and expandable storage, and are available in 160 GB, 320 GB, 500 GB, and 640 GB capacities.
