Healthcare IT and advanced visualization developer Merge Healthcare of Milwaukee has extended its tender offer for Boston-based PACS developer Amicas to 5 p.m. eastern time on April 23.
As of April 15, 33.3 million shares of Amicas common stock, or approximately 90% of outstanding shares, have been tendered. Merge Healthcare expects to close on the proposed $248 million acquisition on or about April 28.
