Advanced visualization software developer Vital Images launched a new universal image review software application, called VitreaView, at this week's Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) meeting in Washington, DC.
VitreaView is designed to provide a central view of a patient's image history, with images from multiple databases viewed on a single viewer. Users can view DICOM and non-DICOM images, review 2D multimodality data, access basic review tools, perform comparative reviews of images, and conduct historical data searches.
VitreaView is a software-only application that runs independently of any Web browser or operating system. The software is pending 510(k) clearance in the U.S.
