RIS and PACS vendor Brit Systems is bringing several new releases to the RSNA 2011 meeting in Chicago.
The company will introduce Roentgen Works 1.4, which includes special tools for working with cardiac ultrasound as well as optional multiplanar reformatting (MPR) capabilities, according to Brit. Enhancements to the company's WebWorks browser-based viewer include on-screen start/stop buttons for each multiframe image, a tool to start/stop all on-screen multiframe images simultaneously, auto cine upon opening, the ability to page through sets of multiframe images, and performance improvements, Brit said.
Brit will also unwrap version 1.1 of its DoctorWorks image viewing application for the iPad. The latest version incorporates simultaneous viewing of two studies and a timeline of studies on both the study information screen and the viewing screen, Brit said.
Another new release, version 3.8 of Brit's Vision primary diagnostic viewer, features new icons, integrated "on-hold" and urgent finding tools, voice controls, cross-linking by position across studies, Brit's new Advanced Image Rendering Engine (AIRE) for high-speed 3D tools, and a new level of integration with Brit's SpeechWorks speech recognition reporting tools.
Brit will also spotlight version 1.3 of its SpeechWorks VE (Voice Entry) system. Brit renamed SpeechWorks VR (Voice Recognition) to VE to emphasize the system's ability to translate speech into meaning, not just text, the company said.
Version 1.3 includes an entirely new interface built using Brit's Voice Entry toolkit and includes support for macros, templating features, the ability to return to earlier voice profiles, and real-time mapping of sentences into objects linked to knowledge trees, Brit said.
