PACS accessories firm PACSGear plans to introduce new software for integrating photographic images and videos into PACS networks at the upcoming RSNA 2011 meeting in Chicago.
PACSGear Enterprise imaging platform is designed to capture, cache, stream, and integrate photographic images and medical videos. At RSNA 2011, PACSGear will demonstrate MDR 7.0, an MPEG2 and MPEG4-compliant video capture package, and the PACSGear Media Server for video caching and streaming. The platform supports the company's recently launched PACS 2.0 initiative, according to PACSGear.
