Monitor manufacturer and distributor U.S. Electronics (USEI) has released a new version of its medical display calibration and verification software, U-Cal 300.
The software is designed to calibrate any premium commercial or medical imaging monitor to the National Electrical Manufacturers Association's DICOM part 14 Grayscale Standard Display Function (GSDF) standard and perform acceptance and constancy tests to standards including the American Association of Physicists in Medicine Task Group 18, DIN 6868-57, JESRA X-0093, and IEC 62563-1.
U-Cal 300 is an upgraded version of the previous DICOM calibration software U-Cal 200, offering security features of automatic database backup, password-protected preferences, and lookup-table (LUT) quality verification, according to the vendor.
