Siemens Healthcare has launched five new mobile software applications designed to help provide imaging specialists and referring physicians with secure access to diagnostic images and reports inside and outside of the hospital.
Siemens has unveiled syngo Workflow Mobile, which delivers RIS capabilities for technologists and radiologists to a variety of mobile devices. Meanwhile, syngo Dynamics Mobile allows cardiovascular imaging specialists to extend their access to image and report review beyond the workstation to Internet-enabled devices.
Syngo.plaza virtualized is designed to deliver imaging studies for communication and consultation purposes on mobile devices, even those operating on lower bandwidth networks such as 3G. In addition, syngo.via WebViewer is designed for viewing images with enhanced graphics, while syngo.via WebReport offers secure access to reports and images anywhere, Siemens said.
Both syngo.via WebViewer and syngo.via WebReport are available for download from the App Store and are designed to operate on the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. Neither product is intended for diagnostic use on mobile devices.
