PACS vendor Intelerad Medical Systems has added new functionality to improve the performance and versatility of the Multi-Method Reporting voice recognition module for its IntelePACS, InteleOne, and InteleSuite products.
The enhanced module is equipped with a new workflow option. It enables radiologists to save in-progress reports for later completion. The long-term parking feature retains the draft report in the reading state, allowing the radiologist to address other priorities and return to the draft quickly at a more appropriate time.
Intelerad has also added voice-activated commands and custom-mapped speech microphone buttons. They can be used alone or in combination to call up templates or navigate through the report.
Additional time savings is possible by allowing information in the HL7 field to be automatically inserted into report templates. This enhancement eliminates the need to redictate the information for the final report, the company said.
