Accenture and AT&T have launched a new medical imaging system at the RSNA 2011 meeting in Chicago for electronically sharing, reviewing, and storing medical images.
The Accenture Medical Imaging Solution can enable national hospital networks to centrally manage medical images and facilitate collaborations with other institutions, physicians and radiologists, according to the companies.
Features of the system include:
- Workflow and optimization analysis to help healthcare providers share their capacity for medical image and data storage
- Teleradiology exchange to help match the supply and demand for radiology facilities and services and providecommunity-based hospitals with access to radiology services from medical centers, enabled by AT&T's network and cloud hosting capabilities
- Long-term image management through AT&T's medical imaging and information management service, a vendor-neutral, cloud-based service for medical image storage, access, and viewing
