PACS vendor CoActiv Medical has installed its Exam-PACS and Exam-Vault cloud-based archive system at Miners' Colfax Medical Center in Raton, NM.
The medical center will use the systems to manage and store its multimodality medical images, which are read 24/7 by an offsite teleradiology partner.
CoActiv's Exam-PACS addressed the need for faster responsiveness and economies gained by avoiding PC upgrades that were deemed necessary if the hospital had upgraded its previous PACS. The maintenance contract for Exam-PACS was also less expensive, according to the company.
CoActiv's Exam-Vault archiving component provides built-in redundancy, which makes a separate backup service unnecessary. The cloud-based storage system also provides disaster protection.
