Ultrasound software developer Peridot Technologies has released a new medical imaging app for Windows Phone 7 devices that can browse and load medical images from a patient's Microsoft HealthVault account for sharing with friends, family, and other doctors.
My Medical Images is a DICOM viewer app for HealthVault users that allows them to load medical images and studies such as x-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and PET on a Windows Phone 7, the company said.
With this application, users can securely sign in to a HealthVault account, search studies, and open a specific study and review all of the study data and medical images; once study data and preview images are loaded, the user can touch or click on any preview image tile to load high-resolution medical images on the full screen of the phone, according to Peridot.
