Display calibration firm Qubyx has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance for a bundle of the Dell UltraSharp U3011 display with Qubyx's PerfectLum 3.0 DICOM calibration software.
With the FDA clearance for diagnostic reading as well as the European CE Mark, the bundle is now officially available as a medical device for U.S. and international markets, according to the vendor.
U3011 is a 30-inch, 4-megapixel display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, a typical brightness of 370 cd/m2, and in-plane switching panel technology, Qubyx said. Other features include 117% typical color gamut, two HDMI 1.3 ports, and two DVI-D connectors.
The bundle is delivered calibrated to the DICOM Part 14 Grayscale Display Function standard, and PerfectLum 3.0 allows the display to be used for viewing medical images and diagnostics, Qubyx said.
