PACS developer Sectra will showcase new features for its orthopedic PACS portfolio at this week's American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) annual meeting in San Francisco.
Sectra has incorporated support for fine tuning of hip cup and stem placement, as well as new functionality for improved validation of calibration results on low-contrast images, according to the vendor. The company has also added "intelligent" selection of templates based on a user's most commonly used implant, as well as autolock of measurement points on reposition areas.
In other introductions, Sectra will highlight its Visualization Table, a large-format multitouch screen that provides orthopedic surgeons with natural-size, 3D views of patient anatomy rendered from CT or MR images. Surgeons can manipulate the virtual body with their hands, Sectra said.
