Peake Healthcare Innovations will unveil its PeakeSecure cloud image archiving platform at the upcoming Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) meeting in Las Vegas.
PeakeSecure is a cross-enterprise image archiving system that hosts viewing and workflow applications, allowing for image processing and storage to be moved to the cloud, according to the vendor. Peake is a joint venture between Harris Corporation and Johns Hopkins Medicine that was formed in March 2011.
The ability to host clinical viewing tools allows for hospitals or healthcare systems to "virtualize" the clinical desktop at the point of care, Peake said. It also functions as a launch pad for third-party applications for diagnostic workflow, enterprise clinical viewing, advanced visualization, analytics, research, and other system integrations, the company said.
