Information management services and medical record storage firm Iron Mountain announced it will provide its vendor-neutral archive and cloud storage service to Texas Regional Medical Center in Dallas.
The hospital will use Iron Mountain's services to store and manage the data from its PACS archive, to better satisfy HIPAA regulatory requirements, to facilitate disaster recovery by keeping a PACS archive offsite, and to eliminate repetitive data migration costs when replacing its PACS.
The company also announced that its newly introduced retention management software functionality will be used to help Texas Regional Medical Center better archive or purge obsolete medical data.
