Imaging informatics firm Viztek has introduced a cloud-based, pay-per-use version of its Opal PACS software, the company said.
The technology eliminates the need to connect to a facility's onsite server and the complexities of implementing a virtual private network. It will enable physicians in different medical facilities to access prior exams for comparison, as well as to view recent images for patients newly transferred to their facility, according to Viztek.
