Image management firm Heart Imaging Technologies (HeartIT) has received a sixth patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office related to its zero-footprint medical image viewer technology.
The latest patent, U.S. Patent No. 8166381, joins U.S. Patents 6934698, 7457656, 7668835, 7958100, and 8055636 in the company's intellectual property portfolio. HeartIT's zero-footprint technologies allow healthcare professionals to view medical images using any computing platform with a standard Web browser, according to the company.
Additional related patents are pending review by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
