Advanced visualization developer TeraRecon has added a new software suite to its iNtuition product line, launching it at the Asian Oceanian Congress of Radiology (AOCR) in Sydney.
iNtuition Review, iNtuition Enterprise Medical Viewer (iEMV), and iNtuition Share allow multimodality review for advanced imaging such as cardiac and breast procedures, as well as enterprise distribution and image sharing capability, according to the vendor.
iNtuition Review expands the client capability of the vendor's flagship iNtuition package to support advanced multimodality and multimonitor review, TeraRecon said. The software, which is designed to enhance the role of iNtuition as a complement to a PACS network within radiology workflow, is particularly suited for use with conditions that involve multimodality imaging. iNtuition Review also includes functionality to create folders of cases for presentation in daily or weekly radiology conferences and multidisciplinary meetings.
iEMV is a zero-footprint viewer that serves as a simple, browser-based client and supports a range of browsers dating back to IE7, the company said. It integrates with the advanced visualization scene files from iNtuition Client and multimodality case presentations from Review. iEMV is also scalable, VMware-ready, and virtualizable, TeraRecon said. It can also integrate with electronic medical record (EMR), HIS, and PACS applications for enterprise access to image and nonimage data.
iNtuition Share makes use of TeraRecon's iNtuition Uploader tool to provide CD-free transportation and distribution of images between medical facilities, peers, or patients, according to the company. After deploying an iNtuition Share server, facilities can offer free access to network upload of images to institutions that need to send images into a facility, TeraRecon said. A link can be provided for external facilities and patients to view and download images.
