PACS firm eRAD, a division of RadNet, has received a contract to install its Web-based PACS and speech recognition system for Valley Medical Group (VMG) in Western Massachusetts.
VMG is an independent, multispecialty group practice with four health centers. eRAD PACS is ideal for multispecialty medical groups that offer imaging services because of the integrated report creation tools, according to the company. Dictation, transcription, and speech recognition are built into the PACS viewing software, avoiding the need to purchase, integrate, and support a third-party system, VMG noted.
