Healthcare IT vendor Medstreaming has tapped Keith Fujioka as vice president of clinical services.
Fujioka is a clinical educator and registered vascular technician and comes to Medstreaming after serving as president and CEO of Pacific Vascular. In his new role, Fujioka will support Medstreaming's position in vascular IT and help expand its offerings to provide digital educational services that are fully integrated into the Medstreaming hospital and office-based workflow applications and informatics system, Medstreaming said.
In other Medstreaming news, the company said it plans to launch its new Graphic-Based Surgical Application for desktop and mobile platforms. The structured operative-note application uses anatomical sketches to enable surgeons and interventionalists to generate structured reports based on graphical workflow, according to the vendor.
Users can also configure their own graphical templates. In addition, the app creates a surgical database that can be used for outcomes analysis, and it generates a full billing report that can be sent in HL7 format directly to inpatient billing modules or outpatient clearing houses, Medstreaming said.
