The healthcare technology market intelligence and consultancy firm Signify Research is open for business. Initially its main focus will be on the informatics and medical imaging sectors.
Behind the new venture is Simon Harris, previously executive vice president at IMS Research, which operates the InMedica brand of medical market research. Joining Harris at Signify is Steve Holloway, previous head of IHS Healthcare Technology group and a market columnist on AuntMinnieEurope.com.
In launching Signify, Harris said there was a need for a market intelligence firm that combined primary research with technology vendors and the healthcare providers who buy their products. Most competitors focus on research on either the demand side or the supply side, he noted, but by blending research with both aspects, the firm expects a more robust and complete analysis of the market.
In this era, when advanced technology and the digitization of healthcare is expanding rapidly to encompass more healthcare departments, the need for insightful, data-driven market intelligence is greater than ever, according to Harris. Signify said it encourages its clients to think of the firm as an extension of their in-house intelligence. The company can be found online at signfyresearch.net.
