Teleradiology provider Virtual Radiologic (vRad), a subsidiary of national medical group Mednax, has secured two new patents.
Patent No. 9,519,753, "Radiology Workflow Coordination Techniques," allows clinical staff to improve image display characteristics, supplement incomplete study data, and link comparison images with the study, according to the firm.
Patent No. 9,542,481, "Radiology Data Processing Standardization Techniques," uses automated mapping algorithms to synthesize data from any number of facilities, streamlines workflow, and allows radiologists to access accurate clinical histories quickly, vRad said.
