Partners HealthCare of Boston announced that it will replace multiple disparate PACS networks with an enterprise-wide radiology network based on Visage Imaging's Visage 7 diagnostic viewer.
The platform will serve the radiology departments at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital and will replace Partners HealthCare's PACS networks from multiple vendors. It will encompass all diagnostic imaging, including MRI, CT, ultrasound, and x-ray, and will be backed by GE Healthcare's vendor-neutral archive.
Partners HealthCare believes the new platform will improve workflow and provide radiologists with better functionality, while also making it easier for clinicians to read images and access information about their patients, regardless of whether they're in the office or the operating room.
