Health IT firm Dicom Systems is partnering with Google Cloud to launch Unifier Cloud Archive for disaster recovery and business continuity archive for enterprise imaging.
Unifier Cloud Archive would serve as a bidirectional traffic bridge between the cloud and the onsite environment. It is estimated healthcare data will exceed 2,314 exabytes by 2020, presenting businesses with the challenge of managing and manipulating data. A formal disaster recovery plan would mitigate disruptions and ensure critical operations continue.
Customers can access a secure infrastructure managed by Google Cloud that includes data analysis, developer tools, and artificial intelligence building blocks.
The Unifier Cloud Archive is compliant with HIPAA and is certified by HITRUST CSF. It comes with a backup PACS that uses the cloud archive disaster recovery copy of imaging data in the event of an onsite disaster. The DICOM modality worklist can be offloaded to the Unifier platform so clinical imaging can continue.
The system also integrates with any PACS, electronic health record, and RIS.
