The Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) has shifted its 2020 annual meeting in Austin, TX, to a virtual format.
The decision was based on continued traveling restrictions for member medical institutions and corporate partners, as well as a desire to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, said SIIM Board Chair Dr. James Whitfill and SIIM Executive Director Cheryl Kreider Carey in a statement.
The virtual version of SIIM 2020 will be held on the society's SIIMU online learning platform on the same dates -- June 24-26 -- and will feature the same content that was scheduled for the in-person meeting.
