Cloud-based software developer Ambra Health said it has expanded its integration with software applications from Epic.
As a result, patients, physicians, and administrators can now access medical images in desktop, mobile, and web applications, according to the vendor. For example, Ambra's integration with Epic's MyChart software enables image sharing with patients, while integration with other Epic applications supports image exchange across platforms, the company said.
With Ambra's AutoFilm Library, imaging and associated data can be linked with new orders, reducing the manual process of intaking information, according to the vendor. In addition, Ambra's integration with Epic's affiliated physician portal facilitates image viewing directly from the order record. What's more, physicians can also view any prior imaging studies for the patient based on a medical record number, the firm said.
Ambra said it will be highlighting the new Epic integration features in its booth this week at the virtual Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) conference.
