The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) and the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) announced that registration is now open for the online National Imaging Informatics Course-Radiology (NIIC-RAD) Term 1.
The course will be held September 27 through October 1 and will introduce radiology residents to imaging informatics, the two organizations said. It was developed by Dr. Tessa Cook, PhD, of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia; Dr. Nabile Safdar of Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta; and Katherine Andriole, PhD, of Harvard Medical School in Boston.
NIIC-RAD will cover business aspects of imaging informatics as well as topics such as machine learning, data science, and 3D printing through live lectures and small group discussions. A NIIC-RAD Scholarship Program is available; the application deadline is August 27.
