Healthcare IT firm Novarad has made its new CryptoChart Lite image and report-sharing software available for free to hospitals in developing countries.
A web-based version of its CryptoChart software, CryptoChartLite enables users to share patient images and reports by dragging and dropping images onto the secure web client, according to the firm. The software then generates a shareable QR code or web access code that enables patients and providers to access their digital records by using the code from a computer or mobile device.
Novarad said that CryptoChart Lite is also available at no charge for hospitals, imaging centers, and clinics in the U.S. and Canada but noted that the full CryptoChart software is more conducive to streamlined workflows.
