Avandra Health, a federated network provider of medical and clinical data, announced today that it is acquiring DICOM distribution solution developer DatCard Systems and PACS technology developer Sorna.
DatCard Systems and Sorna will continue to operate as independent companies. Avandra Health stated that it is acquiring the two companies to combine their complementary clinical data-sharing capabilities with Avandra’s deidentified patient data aggregation platform.
The new integrated platform will be marketed for medical research and AI development.
DatCard Systems has more than 4,800 installations of its PacsCube DICOM distribution solutions. Sorna’s Vertex Platform offers cloud-brokered data sharing, automated DICOM CD production, and intelligent routing of patient data.
