Monitor manufacturer Data-Ray has released Precision 1M, a digital 20.1-inch, 1- megapixel gray-scale LCD flat-panel display. Precision 1M features over 1,554 visible gray shades, which provides greater grayscale depth for precise diagnostic imaging, according to the Westminster, CO-based vendor.
Precision 1M provides luminance of 175 foot-Lamberts (600 cd/m2) and a contrast ratio of 700:1. Automatic brightness stabilizing circuitry minimizes brightness fluctuations caused by internal and environmental pressures, according to Data-Ray. The display also comes with the vendor's DR. KAL automatic calibration software.
Data-Ray said that Precision 1M is suited for fluoroscopic, CT, MR, cardiac, and other diagnostic images with up to 1280 x 1024 resolution. Precision 1M can also be used as a review station display for higher resolution images, according to the company.
