Imaging display developer Data-Ray has signed an agreement with Japan's Eizo Nanao to develop a 20.8-inch 3-megapixel flat-panel LCD monitor for medical imaging. The monitor, called Precision 3MX, will offer 10.5-bit gray scale, luminance of 204 foot-Lamberts (700 cd/m2), and 600:1 contrast ratio.
The system will be featured at this month's RSNA meeting, and is scheduled to go into full production in the first quarter of 2002.
